Aunnual Rosie the Riveter Trust Fundraiser Gala - April 12, 2014; Deputy Director NPS To Speak
March 10, 2014

I hope you will sign up again this year to attend the annual fundraiser for Rosie the Riveter Trust. invitation is shown below.

Every year, Rosie the Riveter Trust calls on supporters of Rosie the Riveter WWII Home Front National Historical Park to contribute to the projects and programs we pay for to make the national park the best it can be. For example, Rosie the Riveter Trust:

·         Sponsors Rosie Girls every summer. The "We Can Do It" attitude that pervades Home Front history inspires Richmond youth to new heights. Girls involved in Rosie's Girls learn to take on challenges similar to those women faced during WWII, learning welding, carpentry and more. Each summer these middle school teens, mostly from low-income families in Richmond, tackle a variety of new challenges through which they build inner strength along with job skills, explore their hopes and dreams, and expand horizons as they learn about unusual careers for women. Career options highlight a wide range of possibilities in the Bay Area ranging from mounted policewoman to engineer.
