Dear Stakeholders for the Interstate 580 Scofield Avenue and Western Drive Bridge Deck Replacement Project:

On February 22, 2013, Caltrans awarded the contract for the I-580 Scofield Avenue and Western Drive Bridge Deck Replacement Project to Myers and Sons Construction LP, for the bid amount of $17,107,176.00. Caltrans is working with the contractor to determine the schedule for construction activities such as construction start, closure of the eastbound I-580 Western Drive on-ramp, etc.  As soon as we have this schedule, it will be posted on the website and emailed to stakeholders. We will also provide a contact number for use of the bicycle shuttle.

On January 30 Caltrans made a presentation to the Point Richmond Neighborhood Council. Once construction begins and prior to the closure of the eastbound Western Drive on-ramp, Department staff will make an additional presentation to the neighborhood council and to residents on Western Drive.
