A coalition of community organizations, labor unions, businesses and citizens dedicated to creating a healthier, safer and more prosperous Richmond.
Dear Richmond Community member,
We are writing because we know you care about Richmond, and we are excited to share some important news about our organization, For Richmond, which is working hard to unite the community and taking active steps toward tackling some of our biggest issues.
For Richmond is a service organization made up of neighborhood, labor, public safety and business leaders hoping to make a difference in our City. In its first five months, our young organization has kicked off to a productive start with a trip to the Bay Area Science Festival at AT&T Park in San Francisco for Richmond students and helped to successfully install security cameras along 23rd street.
For Richmond is currently helping neighbors build support for a new police substation in South Richmond. The Richmond Police Department is seeking this new facility, and we hope you’ll consider joining us in making a strong statement to the City Council by signing our online petition in support of this important project. Visit our online petition. To read more about Richmond’s fight for a substation serving South Richmond, visit our blog post here.
We have many more exciting activities planned for the next several and months, and we hope you’ll help us take action in the areas of jobs, health, safety and education in Richmond. To learn more about our organization and how you can participate, visit the coalition website at www.4richmond.org or follow us on Facebook and Twitter for up-to-the-minute news about all the exciting things we’re doing out in the community.
Thank you for your time, and we hope to see you soon!
