  Chevron Technical Report Regarding Materials Selection

The City received the anticipated technical report from Chevron yesterday regarding their materials selection for repair of damaged process piping in high-temperature sulfidation service in the No. 4 crude unit.  The report is also posted on the City website at www.ci.richmond.ca.us/chevronrefineryfire2012.  Appendix II is not included in the attachment (due to copyrights); however, a hard copy is available at the Planning Counter located at 450 Civic Center Plaza, 2nd Floor.

The Report is under review by the City’s metallurgy consultant, Jim McLaughlin, and peer reviewer, David Hendrix.  The letters regarding their reviews will be provided upon completion.  The City is also working towards setting up a community informational meeting next week.  More details will be provided as dates and times are confirmed.

Although the City has not specifically requested it, I assume anyone form the public could provide comments on the report to:
