Delta Wires and GG Amos!
Point Richmond Music’s 2012 summer concert season comes to a rousing close in September with TWO free concerts! Friday, September 14th is Blues night, with Delta Wires and GG Amos. On Friday, September 28th, Calaveras and Con Brio wrap up the season with an eclectic mix of folk and funk. Both concerts begin at 5:30pm at the corner of Park Place and Washington Avenue in historic downtown Point Richmond.
Every concert features a no-host bar (proceeds benefit the Malvern Wilson Alumni Association Scholarship Fund), raffle, face-painting for children and art exhibitions by the Arts of Point Richmond and the Point Richmond Art Collective.
Point Richmond Music is an all-volunteer, not-for-profit group that celebrates diversity and promotes the arts and community through the universal language of music. Guitarist / vocalist GG Amos is an artist in the West Coast Blues tradition; having been raised in the California capitol of Sacramento. Now based in San Francisco, she's honed her craft as a songwriter and entertainer utilizing the soul, jazz, funk and latin elements that make west coast blues what it is. For the past 26 years GG's earned a reputation as a riveting performer with a distinctive, expressive guitar style and an emotionally charged fluid voice...always emphasizing soulful communication with her audience.
