On Saturday, August 11, the East Brother Light Station volunteers will be painting the Lighthouse wood shingle roof its traditional red. Most of us are getting older, and we need some nimble, younger volunteers to help. We have all the equipment and safety gear. Experienced painters are particularly encouraged, but we will train anyone else quickly.

The workday starts at 9:30 AM and ends at 4:00 PM. A free lunch is provided. And yes, also a boat ride.
