Join the Plunge Tennis Court Dedication on next Thursday, 8/9/2012, from 5-7 behind the Natatorium at 1 East Richmond Avenue in Point Richmond. FREE food by our fabulous local restaurants, Up and Under Pub and Grill, Hotel MAC and Pikanha's Brazilian Grill. Don't miss this Richmond Chamber of Commerce (RCOC) mixer hosted the Richmond Friends of Recreation (RFOR) in partnership with the Richmond Rec. Dept. for an evening of Networking with businesses, City of Richmond officials and guests.

A session of the newly launched Richmond Adult Tennis Class will be conducted from 6-7.

On July 7th, along with the United States Tennis Association (USTA), we celebrated the resurfacing of the Nicholl Park Tennis Courts while showcasing the Richmond Youth Tennis program. That was the first phase of the Enriching Richmond Tennis Program.
On August 9th, we are celebrating the second phase of that program, which consists of resurfacing the first of the two Natatorium Tennis Courts and launching a Richmond Adult Tennis Program.

The US Tennis Association (USTA), and Garry and Maryn Hurlbut have been very active in supporting our local efforts to increase the offerings in our tennis programs and the rejuvenation of our tennis facilities in Richmond. Several key USTA staff and the Hurlbut’s will join us at this event to describe their support which includes launching a Richmond Adult USTA Tennis Team this fall. 
The event will also help Richmond Chamber of Commerce and Richmond Friends of Recreation members and guests be encouraged to generate support for these worthwhile efforts that enrich the lives of our Richmond youth and adults through tennis, swimming, parks and other projects.
