If you have not yet registered and would like to attend the Sunday, May 6, 2012 Bringing Back the Natives Garden Tour tour, this is a reminder that on-line registration closes this Sunday, April 29, so registration must be completed right away.

The Bringing Back the Natives Garden Tour is now on Facebook!  Visit our Facebook page for year-round behind-the-scenes tips and photos.  By this week-end (I hope!) you'll be able to "like" particular gardens for easier garden visit planning with your friends. 

Forty bird- and butterfly-friendly, pesticide-free, water conserving, low maintenance gardens that contain 60% or more native plants will be open on Sunday, May 6, 2012, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at various locations throughout Alameda and Contra Costa counties. More than 50 garden talks will be scheduled throughout the day.

Native plants will be sold at a dozen locations over the course of May 5 and 6 through the Tour’s Native Plant Sale Extravaganza. You are welcome to take advantage of this shopping opportunity even if you are not registered for the Tour.
