If you have noticed a dearth of E-FORUMs over the last month, you may be (a) rejoicing, or (b) wondering what happened. The fact is that I have been out of town for nearly a month, first for a trip to New Zealand, and second for the annual Local Government Commission retreat at Yosemite.

I managed to miss only two City Council meetings, but I did not miss the increasingly personal bickering and interminable blather that seems to be the trend of late.

 

The Yosemite trip turned into an extra treat with a 2-foot snowfall on Saturday and Sunday. The emphasis of this conference was finding new and creative tools to implement sustainable and livable communities and smart growth in life after the death of redevelopment.
