Quilt Show Debutsin Richmond March 12, 2012 |

This spectacular quilt show has been at the Oakland Convention Center for decades and will be in the Craneway in Richmond this year. It is going to be a wonderful event in the Craneway. , and they are trying it in Richmond this year. We want to keep them, so we need to be sure the crowds show up! Rosemary The East Bay Heritage Quilters, a huge guild of very accomjplished quilters, will be holding its biennial quilt show in Richmond this March. EBHQ has existed for more than 30 years, and has been mounting their spectacular quilt shows in Oakland until now. Some of the best quilters and fabric artists in the country will be showing thier pieces. Also, there will be a special exhibit of African American quilts, and a mini-mall of vendors. Here are the particulars: Who: The East Bay Heritage Quilters (5-12) $3. & under 5 free. Early purchase is $10 for adults The theme of the special exhibit is "Ancestral Memories."Each quilt tells its own story about some aspect of remembering ancestors including the underground railroad, voting as a family, and traveling from Africa.
