Hello Families of Richmond and Washington Elementary School,

The Point Richmond Business Association (PRBA) is teaming up with the three local community groups: Washington Elementary PTA and Dads' Club (WESDC), P.R.A.M. to present the 2nd Annual "Picnic in the Point" on August 27th from noon to 6pm in the heart of Historic Point Richmond at Judge G. Carroll Park (West Cutting Blvd & South Garrad Blvd across from Mechanics Bank).

PRBA will again sponsor this free admission, family event with assistance from local businesses and private donors to present a summer picnic benefitting the local Washington Elementary School.  There will be a combination of live music performances, carnival-style games, sporting mini-tournaments, crafts and old-time foot races & contests for kids & adults.  There will also be an excellent food and beverage offering by the famous Up & Under Bar and Grill of Pt. Richmond (an official meeting location of the WESDC).

This event is designed to provide an economic, family-oriented community building event to benefit the children of Washington Elementary School.  Event revenue will be used to support many of the important extra-curricular, enrichment programs and classes that have been cut due to both state and school district economic challenges.
