Music on the Main |
Join us Wednesday, June 22, from 5:00 - 7:30pm as we celebrate the 10th anniversary of Music on the Main. For more than a decade, Richmond Main Street has been providing dynamic events downtown. We started with noon-time summer concerts in 2000. This event was branded as Music on the Main in 2001 and has grown to include activities for the entire family.
You will be thoroughly entertained and rejuvenated by our star line-up of entertainers on Wednesday, which features Andre Thierry and his band Zydeco Magic, the Reed Fromer Band, and the East Bay Center for Performing Arts Iron Triangle Urban Ballet.
So put on your dancing shoes and get on down to Main Street for our 10th annual Music on the Main June 22, 5:00 - 7:30pm in the FoodsCo Parking Lot. There's something for everyone: music, dancing, arts and crafts activities, local food, retail vendors, raffle drawings, and information booths.
Don't miss upcoming concerts: Wednesday, July 27 and August 24 featuring music by Jesse James, Ray McCoy, LAVA, Richmond Bloco Steel Band, and the College Prep Dancers. |

Show us You Care |
Show us that you care about the work we're doing to revitalize downtown by attending the City Council meeting on Tuesday, June 21 at 6pm. Our comprehensive Main Street approach has:
- Provided safe, quality events attracting more than 20,000 people downtown
- Put Art in Windows to enhance vacant storefronts
- Trained 30 youth on work readiness, leadership and professional development
- Provided technical assistance to businesses giving them more than 300 hours of subsidized employee assistance
- Helped to keep downtown clean and safe with our Neighborhood Ambassadors who pick-up trash, abate graffiti, and report code enforcement issues to local authorities
The City needs to hear from you how valuable you think this work is! Your support is imperative as we struggle to keep our funding and continue to provide these important services to the community. Let's continue to build a downtown where we can work, eat and play. Donate today. |
