Budget Summit Explains State Challenges February 2, 2011 |
|
Take the Budget Challenge This month, Governor Brown released the first budget proposal of his new administration. What do you think? How would you vote on his proposed budget? The California Budget Challenge, created by Next 10, is a hands-on activity that lets you decide how to balance the state budget. This interactive presentation allows you to choose how much to spend on schools, health services, prisons, the environment, and other state programs - and how to pay for them. Participants vote on policy options that affect the budget in real-time with instant response clickers. Give Assemblymember Skinner the budget feedback that she needs to take back to Sacramento. Invite your friends!
