Several members of the state legislature have initiated a mediation session regarding the Chevron Hydrogen Renewal Project with a meeting today in Sacramento.  The meeting is scheduled from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM with Assemblymember Mike Feuer acting as the primary mediator.  Representatives from Chevron, the plaintiffs (CBE, West County Toxics Coalition, and APEN), the City of Richmond, the labor unions, the Attorney General’s office, and Richmond’s local state legislators are planning to attend.  For this initial session, the City of Richmond contingent will include Mayor McLaughlin, Vice Mayor Ritterman, Councilmember Viramontes, City Attorney Randy Riddle, special counsel Ellen Garber, and the city manager.
