The filing period for the November 2, 2010, Election will open at 8:30 a.m. Monday, July 12, 2010, and will close at 5:00 p.m. Friday, August 6, 2010.  Nomination Petitions and documents will be issued and received for filing from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the filing period (Elections Code 10227 and 10224).  All candidates must receive and file his or her Nomination Petition in person in the City Clerk’s Office.  If an incumbent does not file a Nomination Petition by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 6, the filing period will be extended five calendar days to Wednesday, August 11, 2010, for non-incumbents only.
