Bridges Out of Homelessness: Vocations, Health and Housing”
The one-day conference “Bridges Out of Homelessness: Vocations, Health and Housing” presents proven programs and cost-effective new solutions to reduce homelessness. This new conference, which will present fresh ideas and new solutions will be held on May 10th from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Craneway Pavilion in Richmond, features: ● Welcome by Richmond Vice-Mayor and Conference Co-chair, Dr. Jeff Ritterman and opening remarks by Contra Costa County Supervisor John Gioia (http://www.saffronstrand.org/component/content/article/60.html) ● Morning plenary with nationally recognized speakers and choice among 16 afternoon workshops covering homeless employment, education, health care, and housing (http://www.saffronstrand.org/component/content/article/62.html) ● Luncheon keynote speakers Richmond Mayor Gayle McLaughlin and Reverend Phil Lawson (East Bay Housing Organizations) with live music by the Richmond’s Grace Lutheran Church Youth Orchestra and Big Band led by Reverend Curtis Shaw New solutions from this conference can work to reduce homelessness throughout the Bay Area.
