PIDOs (Point Isabel Dog Owners) and other user’s of America’s No. 1 dog park, (see Richmond Regional Parks Cited for Two Firsts, October 8, 2009) will be delighted to know that the Coty of Richmond will be removing the red “no parking” indicator from curbs at Ryden Road and Isabel Street and instead installing signs indicating two-hour parking restrictions and no overnight parking.

The curbs were originally painted red in response to complaints about overnight parkers who were abusing the privilege.

Although Point Isabel has about 130 parking spaces, the park’s popularity has overwhelmed that supply. This change will add dozens of additional legal spaces.
