Meet the Ghosts of Shipyard 3 on Halloween
and Prevent Violence in Richmond September 25, 2009 |
Last year, Richmond Rotary Club held a sold-out fundraiser, at the old Winehaven building at Point Molate to raise money for the Rotary Peace Project, a Richmond based program dedicated to the goal of reducing violent crime in Richmond.
Building on the theme of historical and spooky buildings normally off limits to the public, this year’s event, “The Ghosts of Shipyard 3,” will be held at the that old concrete “moderne” monolith, the General Warehouse at historic Shipyard 3, October 29, 2009, 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM. For some great photos, see http://www.flickr.com/photos/80493442@N00/3437279116/.
So, Join Richmond Rotary for a ghoulish Halloween at historic Shipyard 3, once considered one of the nation's most dangerous industrial workplaces and still a Bay Area haunt. No foolin'.
