Artists Looking for Gallery Space?

If you are a working artist in the San Francisco Bay Area looking for gallery space, Pam and her father, Jim DeWitt, invite you to join their effort to form an art collective in Point Richmond, California.  The mission of the collective is to showcase and promote local and regional artist members. Unique, inspired and upscale artists and craftspeople--painters, photographers, jewelers, sculptors, potters, woodworkers and textile artists--are encouraged to apply to be members. The collective's gallery will have something for everyone who walks through the door! Gallery sales will be supported by a website, advertising, public relations and frequent artist receptions.

Since 2000, Pam DeWitt has showcased paintings by Jim DeWitt in her gallery, deWitt Gallery and Framing, in Point Richmond, California.  Jim is best known for his marine art.  DeWitt art collectors are drawn to Pam's gallery from around the world.  Meanwhile, Pam has built a solid reputation as a high-end fine art framer.  Along the way, fine artists, craftspeople, winemakers and musicians have gravitated to Point Richmond, adding panache, style and color to the local area.  Just outside the deWitt Gallery is the site of Point Richmond's summertime music festival and farmer's market.  Pam and Jim believe that now is an excellent time to build on the reputation of both the gallery and local area by forming an artist's co-op to expand the gallery's offering.

Pam and Jim are working to open the Point Richmond Art Collective gallery with at least 12 artists by October 1, 2009.
