Saturday With Congressman Miller and/or Foreclosure Workshop

         TOWN MEETING with Congressman George Miller: Constituents are invited to a Town Meeting with U.S. Rep. George Miller, D-Martinez, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the multipurpose room at DeJean Middle School, 3400 Macdonald Ave., to discuss issues such as economic recovery, job creation and what the recently enacted American Recovery and Reinvestment Act means for the region, as well as housing and health care.          Foreclosure help: Residents can get help Saturday with foreclosures, tenants' rights, refinancing and more. The free workshop will be held 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Richmond Recreation Center, 3230 Macdonald Ave. The morning seminar will offer individual counseling, and loan workout meetings will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Nonprofit attorneys and housing counseling agencies will talk about options and legal rights. Participants should bring their loan documents. The workshop is being presented by the cities of Richmond, Antioch and Walnut Creek; the county; and five legal and community housing advocacy groups.
