It seems that City Council candidate for re-election Nat Bates has made himself the self-appointed running mate of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama. Bates’ campaign headquarters at 2544 Macdonald Avenue features Democratic nominee for president Barack Obama and Bates side by side on two large window signs.

Gotta give Bates credit for cojones. He has always pushed the campaign envelope – sometimes too far. Who else woulda thought of that?
