Anti-Graffiti Training Session May 5, 2008 |
As you may have heard, the City Council approved a contract with Anti-Graffiti Consultants Boyles & Associates to develop a comprehensive anti-graffiti program to enhance our graffiti abatement efforts. A component of the program is to provide supplies and train volunteer community groups to abate graffiti in their neighborhoods.
If you are interested in becoming a Volunteer Group Leader or a General Volunteer and obtain the tools to become equipped to abate graffiti in your area, please join us on Wednesday, May 7 from 7:00pm to 8:30pm in the City Council Chambers. We will conduct a Volunteer Leaders Practical to inform potential volunteer leaders of the program and the role they will play in eradicating graffiti on our streets.
There will also be a Community Day Training Session on Saturday, May 10 from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Additional information is forthcoming. As the date approaches, please check the City Manager’s Customer Service Hotline at 510-231-3031 for updated information or sign up for email notifications at www.ci.richmond.ca.us and select E-News Signup; enter your email address and select Graffiti Abatement Volunteer Program.
