Richmond Scores Nearly $1 Million in
Violence Prevention Grants! March 3, 2008 |
All three of Richmond’s CalGRIP funding proposals (Office of Neighborhood Safety ($400,000) Employment and Training ($400,000) and Neighborhood House of North Richmond ($160,000) were successful, bringing a total of $960,000 to the City of Richmond for violence prevention.
Eighteen out of the 46 cities that applied were approved for funding, all at 80% of the requested amount, in order to allow the Governor's office to support a larger number of projects. At $960,000, the City of Richmond was second only to Los Angeles in total amount of funding. |
