The Point
Richmond Free Summer Music Festival continues to grow.
Hundreds turned out to dance in the streets on a beautiful warm
evening on July 13, and the season’s finale will be Friday,
August 10, 5:30 to 8:00 PM in the Point Richmond Triangle. See

about the first-ever fundraiser for
Opportunity West at Maple Hall and its Grande Court in San Pablo
on Saturday, August 11. Gospel Over Easy, Jazz Well Done and Deep
Fried Blues. It is a Gospel champagne brunch, from 11: to 1:00
PM, followed by Jazz, with wine, beer and afternoon snacks from 2:00
PM to 5:00 PM, followed by dinner starting at 6:00 and featuring
Blues, including the venerable Jimmie McCracklin. All artists are
working for travel money and caterers are working for tips.
Opportunity West is raising funds for its youth programs and needs
all the help friends can give.
