At 4:00 PM today, Contra Costa County updated the election results. Although we are not certain, we believe the numbers below include all the absentee ballots but not some 900 provisional ballots in Richmond.

McLaughlin’s lead in the mayor’s race increased slightly from 192 to 279. Booze dropped from 160 votes behind Lopez to 416 votes back. In the WCCUSD race, In the WCCUSD, the gap between Medrano and Ramsey closed from 360 to 118 votes.

Tony Thurmond appears to be a shoo-in, but we’re curious who those 589 write-ins are.

Measure T is still a lost cause. Where will the Chevron victory party be?
