Railroad Grade Crossing
Super-Conference April 6, 2005 |
|
Coming up on may 1-4, 2005, in Costa Mesa, CA, is “The Crossing Zone – A Decade of Progress, the Western Regional Safety Grade Crossing Training Conference,“ a sort of super-conference featuring every aspect of railroad grade crossings, of which we are much too familiar here in Richmond. The conference is organized by the Federal Railroad Administration and UC Berkeley with sponsorship by both BNSF and Union Pacific (both of which run through Richmond, regularly blowing horns and blocking grade crossings) along with the National Association of County Engineers. The conference will feature, among other things, sessions on Quiet zones and crossing design. For more information, go to "The Crossing Zone: A Decade of Progress" Western Regional Grade Crossing Safety Training Conference, May 1-4, 2005 in Costa Mesa, California.
