The information in an earlier E-Forum today “CITY AND UNIONS IN LANDMARK AGREEMENT” was unofficial and premature. Contrary to any statement or discussions in the E-Forum or otherwise the City has made no official announcement regarding the status of negotiations with its bargaining units.  It would be inappropriate for either side to be making public statements at this time.  Once negotiations have been concluded the city and its bargaining units will be in a position to jointly make an announcement.

I apologize to any party that may have been offended, impaired or inconvenienced by any problems I may have caused by jumping the gun and announcing my understanding of a proposed outcome.
