| Support Open Space Measure July 16, 2004 |

The July 27 voting
deadline for property owners voting for the County Open Space Measure is
fast approaching. For $25 per year, we get $5 million for Richmond
shoreline open space (San pablo peninsula and Bruenner Marsh
particularly), $5 million for the SF Bay Trail within the county, $1
million for creeks and watersheds in West County, $2 million for Wildcat
Creek Trail to Alvarado Park, $2 million for South Richmond Bay to Hills
open space, $2 million for El Sobrante Open Space, and $100,000 per year
to the City for parks and recreation. 25% of the money generated by the
measure goes to maintenance.
The Richmond City Council voted unanimously to support the Open Space Measure and to vote affirmative on the City’s ballot. If you've misplaced your ballot call 925-335-1232. For additional information, see www.cocoopenspace.org. |
