There will be a Town Hall Meeting to discuss pollution today, Thursday, November 20, 2003, from 6:00 -8:30 p.m at the Nevin Community center 598 Nevin Ave. in Richmond. "A Town Hall meeting on Thursday will address pollution from area oil refineries and trucks that serve local industries. On an average day, 11,000 trucks drive through Richmond and San Pablo, according to West County Toxics Coalition which is co-sponsoring the event with several community and health agencies. Particles in the trucks' diesel exhaust contribute to the high rate of asthma in area children according to the coalition..."
