After setting an all-time Richmond attendance record on January 25, 2003 (see http://www.tombutt.com/forum/030128.htm), the immensely popular Oakland East Bay Symphony returns for another free performance open to the public on Sunday, March 16, 2003, at 3:00pm, at the Richmond Memorial Auditorium, 403 Civic Center Plaza in Richmond, CA.. This performance is the second in the 2003 West County Concert Series. OEBS Music Director Michael Morgan will conduct this special family concert, featuring musicians from West County schools. Because of sponsorship by the City of Richmond and other underwriters, these concerts, which cost $5 to $50 in Oakland, are being offered free in Richmond. Families, children and students are particularly welcome. Richmond Memorial Auditorium concerts are preferred by many over the Oakland venue because of the superior acoustics of the vintage Richmond hall.
