It is the first national monument to celebrate and interpret women’s crucial contributions to the World War II Home Front. The memorial is located in Marina Bay Park south of the I-580 exit at Marina Bay Parkway and Regatta Boulevard, on the site of the former Kaiser Shipyards, which were the largest and most productive of the war effort.
