Richmond Greenway
Begins Community Design Meetings March 1, 2001 |
The Richmond Greenway planning team will hold a community design and input meeting for the 2.5-mile Richmond Greenway on Saturday, March 10. The meeting provides an opportunity for participants to get an updated project overview and learn how citizen participation to date has been incorporated into the plan. The meeting will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 pm at the offices of the Community Youth Council for Leadership and Education (CYCLE) 342 11th Street. For more information contact Judith Henderson at (510) 233-1415 or Kate Bickert at kbickert@transact.org . The Richmond Greenway is an abandoned railroad right-of-way running through central Richmond that is designated as a regional trail. It extends from San Pablo Avenue on the east, where it connects with the already completed Ohlone Greenway, to Garrard Boulevard on the west, where it connects with the San Francisco Bay Trail. Completion of the Greenway would provide a walking and bicycling trail from Richmond all the way through Berkeley! |
